The Bishop of Makurdi Diocese, Most Revd Wilfred C. Anagbe, cmf after meeting with his College of Consultors in the early hours of July 14, 2016 has authorized the official publication of the passing on of the Bishop Emeritus, Most Revd Athanasius A. Usuh in the early hours of Thursday, July 14, 2016, the memorial of Saint Camillus of Lellis.
All parishes and pastoral missions are therefore directed to open condolence registers to allow the faithful avail themselves of the opportunity to express their condolences.
All priests and religious men and women, Seminarians and leaders of Pious Associations and Organizations in the Diocese of Makurdi to meet the Bishop on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Pastoral Centre by 10.00am in preparation for the funeral.
Details of the place and date of the burial will be communicated later, while we continue to pray for the eternal repose of the soul of the late Bishop A. A. Usuh.
